Let it snow (8)...
Hallo! (Don't worry, I know how to write, the word "hallo" is in German). Well this time I'm not talking about flying, instead I'm going to talk about my family trip to Mount Lemmon, Arizona. We were spending the winter holidays in Tucson, Arizona. One day we woke up and my uncle wanted to go to Mt. Lemmon. We were not prepared, we had no winter clothing (Arizona is extremely hot, sometimes even during winter). Sooo... we went there, but we couldn't get to the top, to Ski Valley, because of the snowfall they had on the previous days. Anyway, we bought two slippers and went to a little knoll, we had snowball fights, slippers races, snowmans, we had lots of fun playing like little kids. In one of the races, I had such speed that I end up in the middle of the road, fortunately there were no cars, so nothing happened to me.
The snow has something special, it has that i don't know what that make us feel happy just by watching it, and it can unite people in a second. Just like love, it is as close to magic...
See more about Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley and Summerhaven, I hope next time I have more luck and go snowboarding...
Flying in a microlight
Flying again!!! Two years ago, on July, I had the opportunity to fly once again, but this time it wasn't in a helicopter, I did it on a Microlight. I went to a place on the way to Bahía Kino, Sonora with my family. At the beginning I was a little scared 'cause I've never done it before. It's like your sitting in back of a little airplane behind the pilot, totally free, with the wind blowing through your hair, and the only protection you wear is the seat belt, a helmet and the interconnected headphones. When we took off from the runway I was so excited! The pilot was really kind, he made some tricks in the air, like flying upside down, spinning, flying sideways...
I was feeling cold after a while because of the speed, but I felt so free being up there. I even screamed and yelled many times "Woohoo" and the pilot was just laughing at me jaja! I definitely want to fly again.
Here's a Site where you can find out some info about ultralight or microlight flights in Sonora, Mexico.
Touching the clouds
Since I was a kid, I've always loved to fly. That feeling when you´re up in the air, watching everything, feeling the air running through your hair and crashing against your skin, and the best of all: that feeling of freedom. I've never thought of flying as my career, actually I'm a law student (yeah I know, nothing to do) but anyway I love it...
Three years ago, during Spring Break in San Carlos, Sonora, I had my first helicopter flight. It was completely awesome!!! I sat at the front with the pilot, where I had a panoramic view. We flew over the sea and near a little stone island (if I can call it that way) that was full of seagulls waiting to catch the fish that were swimming aside in a reef. We saw too lots of people swimming, basking in the sun and having fun on the beach. Everything was wonderful! and the Tetakawi looked great from the sky (that's the name of a famous hill which is the symbol of San Carlos).
I will absolutely love to fly over the beach of San Carlos again, the feeling is incredible!
